What is runJMc?

A women’s run club led by injury-free run coach and technique specialist Joan Markwell.
Each session is designed to make you stronger fitter and faster over time. Its your once a week hit out to help you reach your running goals faster.

I've been to run clubs before, what make yours 'better'?

Joan is a qualified experienced injury free run coach with running accolades of her own as well as clients. She is not a runner that just joined the group a while ago so can lead you from A-B like some other groups.

Each session is planned and delivered so all the team are putting in their best, getting all the benefits without feeling too slow or being left behind. This is not a same old, same old, point A to Point B run with a leader. This is run training with a coach keeping tabs on you and giving you feedback and tips for the duration of the session. You WILL see results and improve.

I'm too slow, can I still join?

Absolutely. There’s no such thing as “too slow” at runJMc. In fact this is perfect for you if that's how you feel. Every session is on a set course or oval, so you run at your pace while still being part of the crew. No one gets left behind, everyone gets coached, and every step makes you stronger.

Do I have to book?

Yep — but don’t worry, it’s super easy. Once you register, you’ll get access to my booking system where you can lock in your sessions in seconds.

Do I need to get a personalised run assessment first?

You don’t need one, but I highly recommend it. Think of it as private tutoring vs. a classroom — a session dedicated entirely to your run, your technique, and how to reduce injury risk. It’s the fastest way to improve and get the most from your training.

How do I pay?

What if I can't make a session?

No stress — life happens. That’s why we encourage you to set your intentions each week and lock in your session ahead of time. If you have a clash simply book a different session that week. If you are sick often better to rest rather than push through. Just let Joan know.

What if I'm going away?

Just send us your dates. If you’re away for two weeks or more, she can pause your membership. If it’s less than that, you can book a make-up session by letting Joan know. Simple.

What if I feel like it's just not for me?

We make every effort to help every woman feel welcome, supported, and part of the crew. But if it’s just not your cup of tea, no worries. Simply email Joan and she’ll stop your membership — no hard feelings.

There are still 10 shirts left for new members - FREE baby. Just book today and Joan will bring your shirt to your first session.

After that, they’re just $30 for members. They look and feel so good — you’ll want to live in yours.

If I run with runJMc, what do I do for the rest of the week?

You can use one of our run programs to compliment your training. These are perfect to support the sessions we do as a group.

You will also have a new bunch of run buddies so could meet up for runs with them.

When can I start?

You can come to the next session as soon as you register!
