You deserve nice things.

Do you have anything in your wardrobe you just Fu&king love. Like forget ‘spark joy’, I mean fu&king love having, wearing, feeling, and looking at.

This is my new jumper. Thanks to @clementineford for introducing me to it. I saw how fab it looked and listened to her rave review. But when I saw the price I thought ‘no I better not’.

I then coveted it for quite a few weeks, gushing, wishing, nearly doing it then not.

Then I had a couple of really good weeks work wise so thought why not? And Im so glad I did.

Thanks Clementine, you have marvellous taste and your review was not overstated.

Its snuggly, looks fab, feels better with each wear and I just love wearing it. Like LOVE wearing it. I am all about feels with clothes and this feels divine.

I am now wondering if another colour is too much??? lol

Why do so many of us hesitate when it comes to buying nice things for ourselves? Some women seem to have no trouble, but I am not one of them. I tend towards a scarcity mindset but I have been trying to work through that. And I mean affordability aside sometimes a nice item of clothing can be the best money you can spend. And sorry I don’t mean designer brand overpriced factory made crap you buy on a meaningless spending spree to fill a void in your life and send a message to people you don’t even know. (sorry but you know someone like this too Im sure)

I mean quality, sustainable, wearable, small company, heart in their business, made with care and pride, going to wear it for many winters with love, kind of items.

I am not into disposable fashion at all. I dont get it, don’t have the patience, brain room or budget, the slave labour often involved in making it does not sit well with me, not to mention the raping and pillaging of the earth for the cheap resources.

I would much rather opt for a few great items that I love and this is one of them now.

As someone that struggles to spend money on herself too often I am glad I spoiled myself this time.

If like me you can also struggle with buying nice things that you just like or allowing yourself the small pleasures, maybe make August the time to challenge that mindset.

Spoil yourself, buy that one lovely thing you have wanted.  Yes I mean want, not need.
